PUBLIC OPEN LETTER: Release all the information that informed your decision to ban puberty blockers.

We, the undersigned, would like to put on record our disappointment in not only your decision to ban puberty blockers for trans youth, but also your refusal to release the evidence you used to inform your decision.
Why is this important?
Public trust in our political institutions is at an all time low, and telling people that this information is “not in the public interest” disregards accountability & is condescending.
We also fail to see how releasing the evidence informing a decision like this “has the potential to damage the concept of collective responsibility”. It may be argued privately shared opinions within discussions do, but certainly not the evidence which informed those discussions.
So, therefore, we demand that, in the interest of full accountability, the NI Executive releases all evidence they used in relation to this decision.
