We stand with Palestine Action

We stand in solidarity with activists and leaders in Palestine Action and reject Home Secretary Yvette Cooper plans to proscribe them as terrorism organisation.
Why is this important?
Palestine Action is a network of activists that organises peaceful direct-action tactics to expose and target property and premises connected to Israel’s actions in Palestine. Due to its actions, It has successfully closed several factories of Israeli weapons manufactures Elbit Systems.
Proscribing Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation is a shameful and dangerous misuse of anti-terror legislation by the Home Secretary and the UK Government. As Israel continues to act with murderous and genocidal impunity, we are led to believe that those who require criminalising are the ones spray painting military planes.
A single person, the Home Secretary, should not be able to arbitrarily determine what kind of individuals and organisation meet the threshold of terrorism. This is a dangerous system and the ramifications after proscribing Palestine Action are dire: any visible support, even wearing a t-shirt with the group's logo, would be a criminal offence.
Palestine Action has acted where the UK government has failed. We, the undersigned, stand with Palestine Action today and call on the UK government to end its complicity in Israel's genocide in Gaza.
