Northern Ireland's waiting lists are the worst in the UK - with almost one in four of the population waiting for admission or a first outpatient appointment. And no matter who we are or where we come from, getting medical attention when we need it most is vital to us all. The waiting list crisis has been years in the making, and it won’t be solved overnight. But a Department of Health plan has been published, and solutions from organisations like the Nuffield Trust and the Royal College of Surgeons are being put forward. Now we need political will to make it happen.

Over 74,000 residents in Northern Ireland cannot vote in our national elections - and over 12,000 residents in Northern Ireland have no right to vote at all. These are our neighbours, friends and colleagues who live, work and call Northern Ireland their home. Yet, they do not have the right to vote and participate in our democracy. Change is possible. Scotland and Wales have already extended the right to vote to all their residents. Westminster will soon be introducing an Elections Bill - extending the franchise to 16-17 year olds in national elections across the UK. We want this electoral reform to extend the vote to all residents - regardless of where they were born. We want Stormont to pass a motion in support of extending the franchise. To show Westminster that we recognise the importance of making sure that everyone who lives, and has a stake in our society, gets to have a say in how they are governed. To show that we want Votes for All.

Because it was stolen from the lrish people

Homes, heritage and health is at risk in Magherally and the surrounding Banbridge area. If the quarry is allowed to expand local wildlife’s habitat will be destroyed and local residents will have their right to peaceful enjoyment of their homes striped from them. Once the beautiful countryside in Magherally is gone, we can never get it back. Respiratory problems could worsen, silica dust is carcinogenic and could lead to increased health concerns. Noise and dust pollution will increase. Badgers, bats, foxes, yellowhammers and Irish hares will be out at risk. No amount of economical gain is worth putting lives, wildlife and heritage at risk.
